{"id":5521,"date":"2022-02-22T15:48:08","date_gmt":"2022-02-22T15:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/direitoshumanos.pt\/2022\/02\/inauguration-of-the-street-sign-alameda-coronel-marques-junior\/"},"modified":"2022-02-22T15:48:10","modified_gmt":"2022-02-22T15:48:10","slug":"inauguration-of-the-street-sign-alameda-coronel-marques-junior","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/direitoshumanos.pt\/en\/2022\/02\/inauguration-of-the-street-sign-alameda-coronel-marques-junior\/","title":{"rendered":"Inauguration of the Street Sign Alameda Coronel Marques J\u00fanior"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today it was unveiled the plaque that signs the Alameda Coronel Marques J\u00fanior, parish of Avenidas Novas, in Lisbon.<\/p>\n\n<p>The ceremony counted with his spouse Maria Lu\u00edsa Marques J\u00fanior, daughter Filipa and grandchildren, the President of the Republic AssemblyMr. Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, Mayor of Lisbon Town HallMr. Fernando Medina and the Councilwoman for CultureMs. Catarina Vaz Pinto, the President of Associa\u00e7\u00e3o 25 de Abril Colonel Vasco Louren\u00e7o, as well as former President of the Republic General Ramalho Eanes and Mrs. Manuela Ramalho Eanes, along with countless militaries and participants, who wished to gather in this homage.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Colonel Ant\u00f3nio Alves Marques J\u00fanior passed away in 2012, too soon, and left an important service in favor of the Country and of Freedoms that we live today, and Lisbon Town Hall carries out his memory through this Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n<p>Colonel Ant\u00f3nio Marques J\u00fanior participated at the preparations of the 25thof April of 1974, at the unfold and at the construction of the Democracy that started afterwards. He was part of the highest organ of the Armed Forces Movement, the Council of Twenty and the Revolutionary Council.
